It was in the sixties that instrumental surf music was taking momentum. Instrumental surf music was quite unique in those times and not many established bands were keen to experiment with it. There were numerous patrons for this kind of music especially to the west coast of Southern California. People were quite in the mood to listen to music that would be remembered for years. This was when wipeout by the surfaris came with a band into the music industry.
It was at this time that a group was catapulted to international acclaim and came to be known as the Surfaris from Glendora the performers of the hit song WipeOut.
